Resources for Reemployed Annuitants
A reemployed annuitant is a CSRS or FERS retiree who is rehired as a Federal Employee. The conditions of reemployment and also the type of retirement (optional, disability, discontinued service, etc.) will determine the treatment of the retirement and salary while in a reemployed status. In some cases the additional Federal service will be used to provide a supplemental or a redetermined retirement benefit and in other cases it will not be credited. Here are some resources to help you learn more about becoming reemployed in Federal service after you have retired.
