We also offer training designed to meet the needs of your audience. Read on to see a list and descriptions of our most popular agency-based training seminar packages NITP offers a variety of training options for government and law enforcement agencies. Following are some seminar formats that NITP has presented with great success:

 1-Day Financial Planning for New FERS Employees - seminar details
This class will provide the basic information needed so that employees can maximize their options. It also includes an in-depth discussion of the TSP. The instructor will explain the funds, interfund transfers, explain how to obtain a loan, how to access your TSP information, and how to invest beyond the TSP.
 1-Day Employee Benefits (FERS or CSRS ) - seminar details
Benefits, investments in the TSP, and other financial decisions have a significant impact on Federal employees’ retirements. This course will discuss the short- and long-term implications of benefits decisions on retirement planning. Adequate time is allotted for questions and answers.
1-Day Financial Planning - seminar details
Many employees find it helpful to set financial goals for their retirement long before they become eligible. Planning ahead for investments, medical care or housing is not only practical but wise. This course provides an overview of financial goal-setting to help eliminate surprises or anxiety about finances in retirement.
2-Day Mid-Career Planning - seminar details
The class includes a detailed look at the TSP. Some aspects of Federal service to be discussed include what benefits employees would retain upon leaving the Government before retirement, what benefits are available to family members if an employee dies before retirement, and how a break in Federal Service affects future benefits.
2-Day Planning for Retirement - seminar details
Planning a smooth transition into retirement prompts many questions. This seminar discusses considerations necessary for planning for retirement, including Federal benefits options, best retirement dates, TSP withdrawal concerns, Social security eligibility, military service, survivor benefits, and financial and tax planning questions.
2.5-Day Planning for Retirement - seminar details
This seminar discusses considerations necessary for planning for retirement, including Federal benefits options, best retirement dates, TSP withdrawal concerns, Social security eligibility, military service, survivor benefits, financial and tax planning questions, and life after retirement.
3-Day Planning for Retirement - seminar details
This seminar discusses considerations necessary for planning for retirement, including Federal benefits options, best date to retire, TSP, Social Security eligibility, military service, financial and tax planning, health and fitness concerns, estate planning, and the psychological aspects of retirement.
3-Hour Long-Term Care - seminar details
The instructor will address how benefits are paid, how to qualify, what age to purchase. Students will gain an understanding of: home health care, assisted living, underwriting, inflation adjustment, maximum daily benefits, elimination periods, etc.
2 -Hour FSA (Flexible Spending Accounts) - seminar details
Federal FSA program will allow eligible Federal employees to pay (using a portion of their salary) for certain benefits with "pre-tax" dollars before Federal and state income, Social Security and Medicare taxes are withheld. There are two types of FSA's - Health Care and Dependent Care.
2-Hour Thrift Savings Plan - seminar details
This briefing is an overview of the Federal Investment Program and covers the nuts and bolts of the Thrift Savings Plan.
